Bharat Scout and Guides Maharashtra organised JOTA-JOTI 2015 at various locations which supported by DARES and TARA. This year around 15 JOTA-JOTI stations were operational all over Maharshtra. Mumbai and its sub-urban area had nearly 10 stations and Dombivli JOTA stations was one of them.

BSG’s Dombivli chapter organizing JOTA since last 5 years and this year Omkar International school hosted the whole event on 17-10-2015. Even though the  examination season is on, nearly 250 scout guides were participated from around 12 schools.

The program stated with scout guide prayer and inaugurated by Mrs. Darshana Sawant, Principal of the school and the guest of honor  was Dr. Ulhas Kasar, Sr. Scientist, BARC Mumbai.   BSG Thane District commissioner Mr. Satish Kolhe and Dist. organising commissioner Miss. Vidya Bhadane were also present for whole day. The formal inaguration of the station done by  Dr. Ulhas Kasar, Sr. Scientist, BARC Mumbai.

The scout and guides were introduced to Ham Radio through a power point presentation and later taken to the radio and they have contacted other scout and guides through HF/VHF and Echolink.

Apart from the communication part, Mr. Shankarnarayan, a corporate trainer given the training on First aid and emergency preparedness.

All scout and guides were presented participation certificate arranged by  DARES
